Choreo Lab: A Space to Create, Discover, and Connect
Step into a creative space built for makers, movers, and storytellers. ChoreoLab is a three-day composition intensive led by Darrius Strong (STRONGmovement) and guest artist Talya Dozois, designed for pre-professional dancers and emerging choreographers ready to explore and expand their creative voices.
At the heart of this program is the belief that dance is ever-evolving…and that’s the beauty of choreographing and creating. There is no single “right” way to make dance. What matters most is discovering your voice and viewing movement through your own unique lens. Having clarity behind that voice opens the door to branding yourself as an artist and building work that is truly your own.
Together, Darrius and Talya bring over 30 years of experience in choreography, spanning studio work, theater productions, and movement direction. Through guided workshops, creation sessions, and collaborative feedback, participants will be encouraged to take risks, refine their tools, and embrace curiosity in their process.
By the end of the weekend, you’ll leave with new material, mentorship, and a deeper understanding of who you are as a creator. Whether you’re developing new work or beginning your choreographic journey, ChoreoLab offers space, guidance, and community to help your artistry grow.
